Forced labor in times of a pandemic

Forced labor is a global and dynamic phenomenon, which can take many forms, including debt bondage, human trafficking and other forms of modern slavery. It is present in all regions of the world and in all types of economy, even in developed countries and in production chains of large and modern companies operating in the international market. Ending the problem requires not only the commitment of government authorities, but also a multifaceted engagement of workers, employers, international organizations and civil society.
