Synopsis

The purpose of this research is to increase knowledge about staff retention policies and practices in the public sector and deepen these studies from the perspective of the State Attorney General's servers of Minas Gerais (AGE). In this context, the work presented had as a source of research the Agents Government agencies that provide administrative services at the central unit in Belo Horizonte/MG.Through an internal analysis at the AGE carried out through a questionnaire with closed questions and related to the general objective, it was possible to identify the main practices carried out toattraction and retention of servers, and as a specific objective to understand in the literature the importance of attraction and retention of talents; evaluate the Manager's opinion on attraction and retention practices; analyze the perception of employees regarding attraction and retention factors and suggest actions aimed at to the improvement of talent attraction and retention practices.
